Unable to read mother's name on birth record

Attached is the birth record for Anna Maria Esposito and I am stuck with the mother's name.

Actually the street name was S. Bartolomeo The S for Saint.

Catello's occupation was sailor (marinaio)
Could be that the midwife presented because the father wasn't there...

That has me stumped...

At first I thought I saw pelago (sea), but the letters just don't look like that. Not sure if the rest is one word separated, or two words...

But I guess the important part is that he lives with his wife, but is actually in Naples...
