the only place there is a profession mentioned on this record is after the age of Antonino, the informant. It could be the word borgese-for middle class-but I can't say for sure because of the condition of the record. For the wife, it just says, come sopra, as above, meaning she was of the same occupation as the husband

I would agree that the profession is "borgese".
