My GM was born in Cervinara and I would like to write to the parish to get her baptism record, but when I do a search on www.parrochie.it it shows 6 parishes. I thought if I knew which street she was born on, I may be able to find the closest parish to write to. Thanks, jerry
You can put in your town name and see some street names in the town, if you zoom in. The handwriting is difficult on the record, and the only close street name I see is via Pantanari, but I don't think that is correct. Also, all streets in the town are not on the map.
This is the link for the Italian yellow pages. You can type in chiese cattoliche for cosa and town name for dove. You should write a letter to each of the parishes in the town in Italian. I did this in the town of Benevento in Benvento Province which had 13 parishes and one priest answered that he had the ancestors in his parish registers. All of the parishes in the phonebook have phone numbers which indicates they do have a resident priest.
