Help deciphering words in Italian (Sicilian) passport (1914)

Post by salina57 »

Accidentally logged this in the wrong forum a few minutes ago - apologies.
Can anyone help me decipher the words in square brackets in the sentence which follows? It concerns an official annotation in my grandfather's passport, which was issued in 1914. The sentence reads: Il [???olare] del presente passaporto, [name given], non va piu in Australia ma [beusi (or) bensi] a New York. The annotation was made in Messina, Sicily, which means that they may be Sicilian words. Any help much appreciated.

without seeing the document, I don't know about the very beginning, but the rest is "no longer going to Australia but instead (bensi would be "rather" but the word instead sounds better to me) going to New York."
