Here is an abridged English translation:

On the year 1873, the sixth of April, in the Town Hall of Pignola at 1600 hours, in front of me Gerardo Bruni, Councillor delegated and Civil Status officer of the Comune of Pignola, circundary of Cosenza, province of Basilicata, and in the presence of Felice Smiraglia son of the late Salvatore, aged 73, and Vincenzo Ramunno son of the late Andrea, aged 42, both house servants in Pignola, chosen as witnesses by the declaring parties, appeared Rocco Vincenzo Paciello, age 26, single, son of the late Francesco Paolo and of the late Maria Gerarda Brinolo, born and residing in Potenza, and Clementa Gilio, age 18, daughter of the late Luigi and of Gaetana Torio, single, born and residing in Pignola, peasants, which with the intention to unite themselves in marriage have already acted in accordance to the prescriptions of the Law bringing as requested the publications, the authentic vows of the Canonical (?) and all the other justifying documents that are attached to the register of the publications. From the certificates that they have presented I acknowledge that the publications had been performed regularly and being past the three consecutive days to that of the last publication and no opposition was made against the said marriage, I have read to the grooms the articles 130, 131 and 132 of the Civil Code and subsequently the same grooms declared me personally and one after the other in the presence of said witnesses to want respectively to take each other as husband and wife, and therefore I pronounced them as united in marriage in name of the law. The certificates of publications countersigned by me are attached to the volume of the attachments with all the other documents removed from the register of the publications. I have read the present act to the newlyweds and to the witnesses and have with me signed only the witnesses, not knowing the newlyweds how to write.
