Marriage Record Translation Help

Postby autumn4680 » 02 Jan 2011, 20:05

Hello Everyone,

This is a marriage record for Giuseppe Masini and Rosaria Nasca that I cannot read. I had to crop it into several images for you and I can only post 3 at a time. They are ordered A-E. I'll post a reply with the last two attached.

Thank you!

Michelle, I suggest that you upload the full image to a hosting system such as www.imageshack.com and post here the link to it.
In this case you will help the translators that will see the full image at a larger size.

Marriage Act #50

28 September 1871 @ 1 PM at the town hall

Appeared before the Official...
Giuseppe Masini, 25, property owner, residing in this town, son of deceased Francesco and Carmela Grasso, property owner of this town, single...
AND
Rosaria Nasca, 19, property owner, daughter of Francesco and Maria Masini, property owner, single.
for the formal celebration of their marriage.
It then speaks of the banns (publication of marriage contract) being posted according to the law...
The the "taking" of one to the other as spouses.

Witnesses are on the top of page 2-

Signor Giuseppe Fiore, of deceased Domenico, age 45, a property owner, and Raffaele Maggio, of an unknown father, age 28, a municipal guard

both witnesses were also residents in the town

Yes, Francesco Masini and Carmela Grasso were deceased.
Sorry if that wasn't clear...

Thanks, Peg
