Another confusing Latin document

Post by rdel4577 »

This is the marriage record for Matteo Vintaloro and Maria Arssena. I am having trouble with the names of the bride's parents. Can anyone figure them out?

:? :? It seems Luca e Mattea Ameglio... but the quality of the photo is very poor.
Just a note. The bride's surname seems to be Arssena, but in italian it's not possible to have two "s" in that context. I think you must check it with other documents.

Grazie Luca,

You may be right as the attached baptism record has only one "s".

What kind of name is Mattea? I don't think I have ever heard that one.

Tanti saluti!!

Roberto

The names of the bride's parents are: Luca and Mattea (= feminine of Matthew) Curtimiglia

Ciao e grazie
