OK - so that date would not be the actual date of the marriage?
I have ordered another microfilm which has the Atti di Matrimoni for the same time period.
This pubblicazioni is 3 pages and I cannot read most of it, but whoever wrote it had some fancy hand writing - as you can see from just this small section of the pubblicazioni. And there's also a lot of bleed through - so hopefully the actualy Atti di Matrimoni will be in better shape!
I cut the margins off in order to post the document. On page 1 there is the notation from the previous post, and on page 2 the left hand margin is totally blank - however there is a official stamp on the right hand side. On the 3rd page there is another notation on the left column identifying the couple the bann is about...but not a date or a numero.
It starts after the name 'Marietti' which I assume is the name of someone from the Stato Civile. And I think that I may be related to that official as the name Marietti also appears several times in my family.
They are quite difficult to read! By the way I can confirm that they are a request for banns. The dates of the actual posting are at the end of the 3rd page, and the first date is October 11, which is Sunday. The second is October 18...
