Number 1
Dated 5 January 1826
Father is Francesco Scardino, 32, fisherman (Pescatore), residing in Trabia
Mother looks like Giuseppina Barbera (?), 27.
Child was named Pietro (noted on the baptism side) and the baptism took place on the 5th, at the "Chiesa di Trabia" (the church of Trabia)

This seems to indicate that the father made the declaration and presentation of the infant at the town hall on the 9th of January.

Hi Livio :-)

So what is the date (which looks to be amended) at the top of the record?

Believe it or not it is the 5th of January 1826! The birth notification was given to the Parish Priest the same day, and the same day the baby was baptized and on the 8th the Priest returned the birth notification to the Comune...

It looks like a prophecy!
