Rovegno - Rettagliata Baptism Translation Assistance

Postby fairhilleng » 29 Mar 2011, 19:58

I would like some assistance in translating the referenced baptism record
Here is a link to the image:

I believe this is a baptism record for Maria Anna Giacinta Rettagliata
daughter of Andrea Rettagliata and Maria Zerbo

Any additional information would be appreciated. Does it note that the parents are married? I have not found any other children from this couple.
Is Maria Zerbo from Rovegno? I'm not finding other Zerbo family in Rovegno.
Is the godmother possibly the sister of Andrea Rettagliata?

Does anyone reading this have any family connections to these people?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

8-26-1844 at 1:00 am is the date of birth. The document at the top states act of birth and baptism but it is the baptism. The parents were married. They and the godparents were farmers and it appears that the godmother is Andrea's sister -- they both have the same father at least. It seems they all come from the same town.

Thank you very much for your translation assistance!
Would you be able to tell me what words let you know that the parents are married?
Thank you again : )

The printed word "coniugi" means married.
