Help with translation for ordering Family History Films

Post by margetyanne »

Before ordering Faeto FG early to mid-1800 civil registration films, I need help with translations: What would be included in the "processetti" and "indici decennali" films? Thank you.

Hello and welcome :-)

The "processetti" are the supporting documents filed by the spouses with their promise to marry. Sometimes these are referred to as "allegati" (attachments). They hold a great deal of informattion...

The "indeci" are actually the indexes. A list of the records, by name, in the record book (birth, marriage, or death) for that year. The "decennali" is a 10-year index.

This site may help to explain the documents...
