Full translation of birth/marriage/death certificates?

Post by djhender »

I'm new to this forum and I'm wondering if there's a full translation of sample birth/marriage/death certificates of documents any place on this site or on the web? That would be helpful to me while doing my research to with me.

Thanks Judy

Hello...

I was searching for exactly the same thing and I just recently found the following book on Google Books:

"Italian Genealogical Records: How to Use Italian Civil, Ecclesiastical, and Other Records in Family History Research ... By Trafford R. Cole"

This book has translated versions (of the "officialeze" sections, too, of course) of complete Atto di Nascita's, Marriage Atto's, Atto di Morti's, and much more. It also explains in rich detail all the bureacratic and administrative steps involved in producing these original documents.

I found several links to booksellers, so I immediately ordered a copy. I'll bet this book is just what you need!

Ciao!
