Would someone please help me figure out the name of the groom's mother ???? della Monica.
I think the bride's mother isCarmina Orlando.

Also, which is the actual date of the marriage?

Thank you
Jim

Hi Jim,

Groom's mother looks like "Maria della Monica", but with something before Maria...?

Bride's mother is indeed Carmina Orlando

Date of both the civil and parish wedding was 11 November 1853.
The record of the parish wedding was received by the official on 20 November...

The left side is the "promise to celebrate the marriage in the Church" done in the town hall on the 11th of November, 1853. The banns were posted on the 23rd of October 1853.
In the right side, the Parsih notifies the Comune that the marriage was celebrated in the Parish of S. Erasmo on the 11th of November.

Your replies are a big help.
Does anyone have a guess as to what the letter "P" or "B" before Maria is for? I don't believe I have seen it before.

Thank you
Jim

I couldn't either. I wondered if it was an error that didn't get crossed out.
I'll stick with just Maria for the present.

Thank you
