Translation Request - Marriages for le Vigne and Maimone

Postby TriciaFierro » 20 May 2011, 20:18

My great-great grandfather's parents were Maria Rosa le Vigne and Antonio Maimone. Maria Rosa's father was Luigi...mother unknown at this point. I am mining records for le Vigne and Maimone as well to try to make a connection but many of the records I have access to are later yrs...1860's through 1920's. I figure it's worth the try becasue both names are uncommon so chances are there is a connection to my line somewhere.

I'm looking foir translation of Maria Antonia le Vigne's marriage record from 1871 as well as Nicola Maimone's marriage record from 1869. Thank you!

Hi Tricia,

The first record (dated 14 February 1871) is for marriage of Maria Antonia LeVigne, 34, peasant farmer, daughter of Nicola and of Rosa Piggiani...
And
vincenzo Antonio Di Ierio(sp?), 50, peasant farmer, son of deceased Pietro and Arcangela Martinese, both while living, peasant farmers residing in this comune.

Edited: I had misspelled Rosa's surname

I believe that the bride's mother is Rosa Viggiani and the groom is Antonio di Serio
