Did I do this right?!! :)

Postby BMartino » 10 Nov 2011, 15:35

I know this is my great grandparents, Giuseppe Martino and Assunta Errica Palmieri, and I think I have the date correct- 14 January 1887.
I think Giuseppe was 18, and Assunta was 17.
Giuseppe is the son of Pietro Martino and Margherita Sangiovanni.
Assunta is the daughter of Giovanni Palmieri and Teresa Izzo.
When it gets down to the handwritten notes at the bottom though I'm lost! Anything important I'm missing?
Thank you!

You've got it right! :-)

The written part at the bottom states that the official received the certificate of publication (banns) and that the 1st banns were published on the 2nd, and the 2nd banns published on the 9th of the current month.
It also states that the parents of the spouses were present at the marriage and gave their consent.
The official read the act to the participants and the groom and the witnesses signed with him.
