Help with this note please...

Postby Luca1969 » 17 Mar 2012, 05:49

Hello everyone,

I need some help with this note I have found in a Parish record, it does not look like a baptized record rather a note on a child inserted between the records. I have attached the context and you can see that no number was assigned to this particular born and no mother.

What I can read here is:

Die 10 juni 1803

Dominico filius quondam (?) Joannis Baptista Angeli unreadable unreadable fratis unreadable unreadable unreadable...

I am not sure of the quondam either...basically i understand only the names :)

HELP !!!

Luca

Looks to me like the priest started an entry then crossed it out before completing it. Maybe he was in the wrong book.

I agree with Ann.
Btw "filius quondam" = "son of the deceased"

Yes, it makes sense. This belongs to the parish of a small village in Trentino (Tenna) whose church depended from another village (Pergine) for some years. I guess it is possible that the books were kept separate but the priest in charge was the same. It exists a Dominico Angeli born in 1803 in Pergine, so it is possible that it was reported in the Tenna book by mistake.

Thank you e grazie mille

Ciao!

It has been crossed out because it was in the wrong register, being a death act among birth registrations:
Die 10 Junii 1803
Dom(ini)ca V(idu)a q(uonda)m Joannis B(aptis)tae Angeli sexagenuaria om(ni)bus SS(anctissimi) S(acra)mentis munita ...
