Translation of Death Record for my great-grandmother

Postby ItalianbellaSA » 03 May 2012, 21:48

I think I might have found the death record for my great-grandmother, Angela Crifo. However, I would appreciate it very much if someone could translate the document. She was married to Antonio Crifo and I believe they lived on Contrada Porticella when my grandfather Giuseppe Crifo was born.

This Angela Crifo was SINGLE, age 54 and the daughter of deceased Antonino, a shoemaker and of deceased Antonina Aiello, housewife...
She lived at Via Garibaldi.

Was Angela's MAIDEN name Crifo?

If not, you will need to search for her death record under her MAIDEN name.. :-)

I found another death record of a Francesco Crifo. There is mention of Angela April on the record. That is the maiden name of my Great-Grandmother. If someone could translate the record for me giving me dates and names maybe I could piece another part of my history together. Thank you.

Also the above record is for Francesco Crifo, age 2 days, son of Antonio Crifo and his wife Angela Aprile. The death occurred at 6 AM on 8 October 1894.

Tessa: Thank you very much. This is another piece of history for my family tree. I also found that my Great-grandparents had a daughter, Tindara, that I did not know about. I was able to find a great-grand-daughter of Antonio and Angela through ancestry.com. I met them in Italy one year ago and have been in contact with them since. There is a language barrier, but we still manage. I will have to tell her of my new information. I have a very nice family tree on myheritage.com. Email me privately if you would like an invitation to view my family tree on myheritage.com.

Tessa: On the death record of Francesco Crifo (above) is there a reason given - the child was only two days old?
