Muscari Atti di Matrimoni in Grotteria, Calabria

Postby donnamb » 25 May 2012, 18:23

I need help translating this marriage record of my 2x great grandparents, Vincenzo Domenico Muscari and Caterina Gentile. They married in 1877 after their children were born; I don't know why. Vincenzo was 59 years old at the time of marriage, but I can't tell if he was sick, disease, or unable to attend the ceremony.

Their children are listed on page 2: Pietro, Teresa, Domenico and Salvatore, although Pietro & Teresa are listed as Gentile and Domenico & Salvatore as Muscari.

Interestingly, one of the witnesses, Pasquale Albanese, is also a great grand father of mine.

If someone could help me understand this marriage record I would be grateful.
