First name help

Postby bvbellomo » 25 Jun 2012, 17:16

Attached is the birth record of my great-grandmother from Mirabello Sannitico. Her mother's maiden name is di Giglio, but I can't figure out her first name (Mariaurmierya or something like that)? Also knowing her father's age would help (I think it is forty- something)

I'm giving up trying to make this look nice on this forum. It has a small size limit, and then it crops the image further, and the preview and actually post crop differently.

Here is the link to the image:

The mother's given name could be Mariavincenza and the father's age 46...

Wow.

Mariavincenza fits nicely if they made a 'z' with a tail like that. I kept thinking 'y', 'g', 'j', 'q' etc. Would they have written Mariavincenza and not MariaVincenza?

For the fathers age, would it be written quarantasei? I don't see how you get 'S' 'E' for the last 2 letters. But I do agree that not much else fits.

Thanks!

It is Mariavincenza with a small "v". In Italian we do not have capital letters in the middle of a word.
I know it is difficult to read quarantasei, but the last letter seems to be an "i".

Hi Livio! :-)

Great read on the mother's first name, but I'm seeing the father's age as 49 :?
