abbreviation on birth record

Postby dmt1955 » 20 Jul 2012, 02:17

http://postimage.org/image/abg4kta51/full/thanks so much.

in a few places on the birth record #135 for Filippo Purcaro is "Dom" - after Clementina Scaglione's name listed as figlia del fu Dom An???gio, moglie di Dom Michel Purcaro...

is the Dom an abbreviation for Domenico?

also....and i know this is a hard one to read....the annotation in the margin reads that he married in 1886 to Marianna M???? any guesses to the name / date?

thanks,
donna
