Help translating this marriage document

Postby bottino » 06 Aug 2012, 04:46

We need to have this marriage document translated. It is all in handwriting and we find it very difficult to read. I hope the pages are in the correct order. I apologize if they are not. We are looking for the essential marriage translation here.
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

The images are hard to read :-(

Can you provide a link to the location of the record...
OR--
try using an imagesharing site such as http://www.postimage.org
Upload, then copy and paste the "Thumbnails for forum1" to this post. It will allow us to enlarge the image to examine the handwriting more closely.

HOWEVER, here's what I can read...
Record #84
Year could be 1872 or 1873... day 29 of March at 8 PM at the town hall.
Can't read the town
Groom is Francesco Pal???isa, age 26, peasant farmer, born November (can't read day) of 1846 in this town. He was son of Leonardo? and of deceased Rosa _____?
Bride appears to be Maria Sansone, single, age 16, born 1 September 1856. Daughter of deceased Gaspare and _____? Russo.

Hope that helps :-D

Me, too!

OK.
Here is what I saw before with additions :-)
HOWEVER, here's what I can read...
Record #84
Year definitely 1873... day 29 of March at 8 PM at the town hall in Termini Imerese
Before the official delegated by the Mayor... appeared
Cosimo Sansone Chacchi(?), son of Filippo, age 33, fisherman; and Cosimo Laraici(?), son of deceased Onofrio, age 26, peasant farmer; both residing in Termini... to give testimony (witness)

Groom is Francesco Palasciano(sp?), single, age 26, fisherman, born n Termini, November (can't read day) of 1846 in this town. He was son of Leonardo (yes) and of deceased Rosa Pelasatesi(sp?)
Bride appears to be Maria Sansone, single, age 16, born in Termini on 1 September 1856. Daughter of deceased Gaspare and of living Liliana(?) Russo.
After that there is standard language that speaks of the Civil Code which is the law. Then the official declared Francesco and Maria united in marriage, by this act. There is also mention that the banns were published according to the law.
At the end is the signature of the official - Francesco Mar???

BTW - looking at the end of the marriage record just before this one... the groom is Cosimo Sansone and the bride is Vincenza Sansone :-)

Le foto non sono eccezionali, per cui non sono sicuro delle correzioni, ma mi sembra di leggere:
