The births in this town Sciara (Sicily) were announced by the men.
This particular birth 1876 (Anna Andolina) seems to have been announced by a woman - Paola ....? I cannot make out the last name (would like to know it) Am I wrong? The declarant is a woman. Her name is Paola ??ario, age 50, a midwife.
Mother is Francesca Paola Randazzo, daughter of Rosario Yes, but Rosario is deceased. Francesca is 33, a farmer, wife of Filippo Andolina, age 41, a farmer. They both reside in Sciara Also, it looks like the father of this child is Filippo Andolina. Would like to know if I am correct in this.
Because this record appears different from the others I have scanned, I'm wondering if this child was born out of wedlock or if her father died before her birth. No, this is a regular birth record. The record states that the father could not make the presentation because he is sick in bed.
