1886 Marriage Record

Record#14 Michele Giovanni Finelli & Filomena Crispino
11:30 am 24 November 1886, Comune of Rotondi, before Luigi Meidonna, mayor and civil offical, appeared Michele Giovanni Finelli, age 28, profession of (?), born in Rotondi, living in Rotondi, son of Amiello, living in Rotondi, and Francesca Maietta, living in Rotondi,
AND Filomena Crispino, age 23, farmer, born in Rotondi, living in Rotondi, daughter of Raffaele, living in Rotondi, and Teresa Cieri, living in Rotondi.

Witnesses: Francesca Bove, age 62, profession of (?)
Giuseppe Maietta, age 33, landowner.

Finelli's occupation is bottaio which is a barrel maker

The occupation of the witness Bove looks to me like viciere-viceroy. I have never before seen this in a document and am not sure that it is correct.

Effettivamente Marty ha ragione è usciere (usciere comunale) che si trova spesso come testimone.
In inglese non è "usher" come pensate.

Il nome è Francesco non Francesca (i testimoni erano sempre uomini).

I guess I have a mental block when I see "usciere" :) Tessa is correct that Francesco Bove is a witness in several of my records.
