Need Help With a Name

Postby MarkVRomano » 15 Sep 2012, 05:45

Having a hard time reading the name of my 3rd great-grandmother. She is listed on the birth record of my 2nd great-grandfather Antonino Romano b. 6 March 1827 in Misilmeri, Palermo.

My guesses:
Caterina LoBello
LoGello
LoCello
LoZello
LoGesso
etc...

The letter in question does not look like the other "B"s or "C"s in other records and I didn't get a chance to check the "Z"s or "G"s.

PDF with name circled:https://dl.dropbox.com/u/52335459/Atto%20Di%20Nascita.pdf

Thank you in advance :)

Browsing the Misilmeri lists on sicilianfamilytree.com , the only close name I found was LoGerfo. So, maybe that or LoGelfo?

Thanks for the reply. The more I look at it, the more it seems to be LoGelfo.

Note that the correct spelling is Lo Gelfo (two words).
