At 6 PM on 24 February 1838, before Don Bartolomeo Napoli, Mayor of the Comune of Raccuja, District of Patti, Messina, appeared Maestro Ferdinando Alosi, age 26, born in Montalbano, district of Patti, Messina, profession of (cartolaio) stationer, living in Montalbano, son of the deceased Francesco, profession of stationer, lived in Montalbano while alive and Fiora Carica, profession of spinner, oiving in Montalbano AND Maria Astone, age 19, born in Raccuja, living in Raccuja, daughter of Vincenzo, profession of (macellaio) butcher, living in Raccuja and Vennera LaCava, profession of silk winder/spinner, living in Raccuja.

Married in the church on 27 February 1838. Witnesses to the marriage: Giuseppe Merendino, and Carmelo Astone.

Witnesses: Mro (Maestro) Carmelo Orifici, age 56, farmer, living in Raccuja
Giuseppe Gagliando, age 56, farmer, living in Raccuja
Maestro Giuseppe di Giuseppe, age 32, (ferraro) blacksmith, living in Raccuja
Gaetano Boryiourri (?), age 50, middle class, living in Raccuja

the witnesss Giuseppe's surname was Gagliardo

the witness Gaetano's last name was Bongiovanni

I believe witness Giuseppe Merendino was a priest :-)
he has Sac. D. before his name
