a supplemental record for death of Maria Michele Purcaro

i would appreciate help with some of this translation, any corrections to what i have translated and any relevant information I might have overlooked.

if i understand this, the court is updated to her death:
the date of this record is: 1 August 1905 and a letter was presented to the court on 19 July 1905, number 2543, to transcribe a copy of the death certificate.

it appears she died in the city of Marsiglia. is this Marseilles?
actual date of death is 27 December 1903?
at the hour of 9 in Marsiglia
at the hour of 3 at her home at Via Casseria 30 ...?????.
Maria Michele Purcaro, giornaliera (daily newspaper vendor?)
she was age 70, born in Ariano di Puglia (Italy), widow of Michelangelo Formato, giornaliero, daughter of deceased Crescenzo, tailor, and deceased Caterina Cavossa, housewife of Ariano.

thanks,
donna

The date of Aug 1, 1905 is the date this new document was created in Ariano.

Yes, they are talking about the city of Marseilles in France. France is divided into departments (not provinces like Italy). The department listed in the record is Bocche del Rodano. (see this wikipedia listing, which will also show you the city of Marsiglia on the map-
http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marsiglia

The date of the letter is July 29th not the 19th-

you have the correct date of death- her home via Casseria, number 30 is correct

I have a problem with the times listed, as Marseilles and Ariano have the same current time, if you search the internet. Also it says "alle ore tre della sera" at 3 in the evening??? This is strange to me. I assume they mean 3 P.M.

Also it says "nel suo domicilio, in via Casseria numero trenta, cessava di vivere la predetta"-- literally this translates as "in her domicile, in via Casseria number 30, ceased to live the above mentioned"-so where is this address located-in Marsiglia? I found a street map for that city, but all of the street names appear to be in French, and not in Italian, so I am trying to find a street map to show me that it is located in Ariano. Now I am confused as to whether she died in Marsiglia or in Ariano.

The occupations giornaliero and giornaliera-mean "day laborer" (the first is masculine and the second is feminine)

There is a Rue Casserie in Marseilles.
So perhaps this is the correct address of her home

Thanks for finding this info, Paola.

BTW, do you understand why there are two times given in the record? I am baffled by that.

given that she left ariano and was living in marseilles....do you have any ideas about finding records that would document this passage or relocation?

thanks to you both for all your help with this.
