military record help

Postby nrepole » 16 Mar 2013, 23:04

Hi all
Having trouble reading the word written under 'Distinzioni e servizi speciali'.
I know my relative was in the Italian royal Air Force in WW2 and he was involved in
operations in Egypt and Libya.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nick

I read "Cannoniere" (46)
"Gunner" I have no idea about the meaning of the number 46...
