Marriage Giovanni Annelli e Santa Defino

Post by ItalianbellaSA »

I have found a marriage record of my great-great-grandparents, Giovanni Vito Annelli and Santa Defino. From what I can read the marriage took place in Noja on Dec. 24, 1834. Parents of Giovanni were Alberto and Vittoria ? (Soria? - I can't make that out). Parents of Santa Defino were Giovanni and Rosa Ardito.

Here is the link to the marriage:

On the index the Santa's mother's name looks like Rocca Ardita. I am looking for the ages of the bride and groom and if listed the ages of the parents.

Thank you in advance for your help.

It is hoped that the research I am doing helps to discover, preserve and celebrate my family history.

The marriage took place in Noja on Dec. 24, 1834. Giovanni was 24, his parent were Alberto (deceased) and Vittoria Sozio. Santa Delfino was 20, her parents were Giovanni and Ardita Rocca

I found a death record for Rocca Ardita. I have an Ardita Rocca on my family tree, she is the mother of Santa De Fino, who is my great-greatgrandmother. I am a little confused if this could be the same person on my tree. Can someone please translate for me with as much detail as possible. I don't understand why they would transpose the names.

Thank you.
The name is Rocca Ardito, not Ardita Rocca. :D
It would appear you have the name "transposed" in your family tree.
