Informant was baby's father, Michele Cipriano, age 31, a peasant/farmer. He was living in Frigento and reported that on the 24th of the current month, in the house at #19 contrada Roseto, a female infant was born to his wife, Mariantonia Famiglietti, who was living with him. She was also a peasant/farmer. The infant was given the name Incoronata.
Witnesses to the declaration of the birth, and presentation of the infant, were Rocco de Martino, age 38, a tailor, and Alfonso Pelosi, age 28, a property owner.
The witnesses and delegated secretary signed the document below. The informant did not sign, as he was illiterate.

Thank you! I assume you had no trouble seeing the record? I ask because I have been trying to print it and have not had any luck.

You're very welcome, Dolores. Glad Marty was also able to help you, so that you could print the record.

I am having difficulty translating my great grandfathers birth record from Santo Stefano del Sole and was wondering if anyone can help but I'm not sure how to attach the files.

Re: Need help translating this birth record
The translation I did for you above indicated that the record was dated on the 25th but that the birth took place on the 24th.dmurphy1940 wrote:That changes my tree then. Thank you.
