It is dated June 4, 1876 at 11:20 a.m. in the town hall of Santa Margarita Appearing was Michele Digiovanna, age 35, a peasant/farmer living in SM. He reported that, at 3:10 a.m., on the 4th of the current month, a male infant was born to his wife Audenzia Ciraolo, a merchant, who was living with him. The birth took place in the house on via San Michele and the infant, whom he was presenting, was being given the name Calogero.
Witnesses to the declaration and presentation of the infant were Gaspare Maggio, age 41, a blacksmith, and Domenico Marino, age 61, a peasant/farmer.
The town official read the present act aloud to all who had intervened, but only he signed below, as the other were illiterate.
