I think the wife Rosa's surname is Giardino. Rosaria's surname is possibly Ciano.

erudita,

i do have a giuseppe purcaro married to a rosaria ciano. she was born in the 1740s so i am assuming he is somewhere around that time also. i do not have them connected to anyone. all i have is rosaria's death record of 1812.

i have a domenico born in that timeframe and is married to a rosaria giorgione but have no parental information.

what would you say is the possibility that rosaria giorgione is the same person? she is also listed in the earlier marriage records of their children as giorgio.

thanks again,
donna

It doesn look like Ciano to me, even if I really can't guess it... there seem to be two i's in the surname.

I think you are seeing a second letter i before the o at the end, which is what I initially saw, but I think it is the letter n before the o, and what looks like a dot is just a mark on the page.

one more question on the list of who is who and to whom are they connected! now if the lottery would just cooperate and let me win, i could spend some time in Ariano Irpino to figure this all out!!

i appreciate your efforts and thinking about this challenge.
