The birth record is dated on Jan 5th, 1867. Appearing at the town hall of Macchiagodena was Maria Palmieri, the daughter of deceased Leonardo, age 44, a peasant/farmer in the town. She reported that the male infant, whom she was presenting, and to whom the parents intended to give the name Giuseppe, was born on the 2nd at 1 P.M. She had assisted with the birth and was appearing in place of the infant's father who was absent from the town. His wife, the infant's mother, was Mariantonia Palmieri, the daughter of Gaetano. Antonio Zannella, her husband, and the infant's father, was age 31 and a peasant/farmer in the town. He was the son of Ezecchiele Zannella. The grandfather's first name appears with two c's, but normally the name only has one letter c in it. The house where the birth took place was on Contrada della Colle (I can't decipher the rest of the street name).

You're very welcome. I just found the following list of the most searched streets in the town, in case you need it as a reference for the future. I now think the street name in the record where the birth took place is Contrada Collesorbo

You're very welcome again. You just never know what a search on the internet is going to yield. Wish I could find such a street list for other towns.
