i would appreciate some help with making sense out of the death record....i am not quite sure how Concetta Nazzaro is connected. is the word after anni due 'proietto.'?

any efforts are greatly appreciated.

The document states that the two year old was exposed in Santo Polito on the 20th of Jan 1881 "alla rota" (on the wheel). So she was an abandoned child. I think that Concetta was the natural mother. You need to find the birth record to see if there is an annotation concerning her recognition of the child. I think that would clarify this. The word after two years might be a dialectal version of proietto, but there is no "o" in what is written in the record and I can't find the word as written anywhere.

Donna and Erudita,
Alfonsa was "allevata (da)", "raised by" Concetta Nazzaro.
But we can't exclude she actually was her natural mother.
