I would like the death record of Giovanni Mastroberti translated. Also it mentions Rocco Mastroberti. Does it say he was the uncle of Giovanni? I see zio next to his name. Thanks in advance...

Good eye :-D !

Yes, the first declarant, Rocco Mastroberti, was his uncle.
FYI - In 1879 the village of Salvia became Savoia di Lucania.

Record #44
Dated 28 August 1868 at 5 PM at the town office.
Appearing before the official was Rocco Mastroberti, son of deceased Carmine, age 47, uncle; and Giuseppe Marino, of deceased Teresa, age 32, stranger [estraneo]; both peasant farmers residing in Salvia, to declare that on 27 of the month at 4:30 PM, died at home at Strada Annunziata, Giovanni Mastroberti, age 9, peasant farmer, born and residing in Salvia, son of Michele and of Maria Marino, peasant farmers.
