Miceli, Vincenzo Death Record

Post by ItalianbellaSA »

Hi Everyone! I hope all is having a great day! I am making very good progress with my research. I found a death record for a Vincenzo Miceli (who I believe is my 4 x great grandfather!)

So far I have translated:

Name: Vincento Miceli
Age: 50
Wife: Febronia Di Giorgio
Death: September 27 (?), 1837

I see there is mention of a Matteo Miceli - does the record indicate who he is (nephew, brother, etc.). Also does it give an address or location in Montagnareale?

Here is the link:

http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... 1.jpg.html

Any information or correction to my translation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time.
It is hoped that the research I am doing helps to discover, preserve and celebrate my family history.

The first declarant, Matteo Miceli, age 47, was the brother of the deceased; and the second declarant, Giovanni Capazzo, age 50, was the brother-in-law of the deceased.

Matteo's address looks like Contrada Cappo??? (can't read the last part of the word); and Giovanni's appears to be Contrada Bocchetta...

Vincenzo was the son of deceased Giuseppe Miceli, and deceased Rosaria Cappodona(sp?)

Thank you very much. Now I have found the death records of three children of Vincenzo Miceli and Febronia Di Giorgio!

1) Antonia Miceli - Death August 10, 1835, Age 4

2) Salvadore Miceli - Death - August 17, 1835, Age 8(?)

Both on this link:
http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

3) Maria Miceli - Death - August 24, 1835, Age (?)

http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

Then their father died in 1837! So sad for Febronia Di Giorgio. Please correct any mistakes in my translation. Thank you.
It is hoped that the research I am doing helps to discover, preserve and celebrate my family history.

According to the record she died on 24th at 1 PM AND it was declared on the 24th at 1 PM... same declarants

Yes, very sad. I suspect that the older daughter was helping to care for the two younger children and contracted whatever may have caused their death. :(
