Need Translation for Special Type Death Record

Postby oemorg » 02 Oct 2013, 22:18

This death record was listed after the regular ones. I think it is special because the person lived in the town of record but died somewhere else. I believe it says Gennaro Romeo died 5 Sep 1834 in Padula. He lived in Terranova da Sibari. Can you tell me if I am right and if there is anything interesting among all those words.

Thanks,
Greg

You're correct, Greg. He died on the date you stated, at 9 P.M. in Padula, in the house of a Giuseppe Pinto. He was 19, born and living in Terranova, a peasant/farmer, and the son of deceased Domenico Romeo and deceased Maria Teresa Greco.

Just to clarify, Greg. A copy of the death record from Padula was received in Terranova on Sept 6th at 4 P.M. and this new record was created in Terranova on Oct 2nd with the info from the copy received.

Erudita,
Thanks for the clarification. Did you notice if it said the cause of death? He was only 19.

Greg
No cause of death in this record. It is very rare to get a cause of death in these records.
