Hello Gail, I don't find it so easy to understand what this kind of documents mean, anyway... He started his mandatory military service on january 24th, 1918, and he should have stayed 3 years. He was a Gunner on the Coast (it does not specify if he was in the Navy, maybe someone more expert than me can explain...) He received a 100 lire demobilization prize in July 1920, and an amount of 80 lire for the so called "clothing pack". In March 1920 he finished his service (after 24 months) for having a younger brother paying military service.
