It's "bizzoca". It's hard for me to explain what it exactly means (nor I exactly know what they meant in the 1800's). A "bizzoca" is a very religious woman who lived like a nun, even though not in a monastery. Nowadays, the word is used in the south to mean a woman hypocritically devoted to religion, above all to its forms, rather than to substance.
