Postby JOHN08 » 09 Nov 2013, 03:16

Marriage bann, 31 July 1828:

Solemn promise of marriage between Salvi Giustino ?, son of deceased Nicolantonio Silvestro and Cristoda ? De Benedictis, and Maria Carmela DeSanctis, daughter of Giuseppe DeSanctis and Maria Marrone.

Appreciate any input.

Hello,
I'd say mother's name is "Custoda" (I'd never heard of it, but I found several references in Google Books). I think it comes from "angelo custode" = "guardian angel"
