birth record #28 - Maria Concetta Purcaro...in the margin is a notation of a marriage .... any thoughts on the spelling on Alberto's last name. also i read the date of marriage as 21 Feb 1924.

thanks so much,
donna

I read D'Intino which is not a surname in that town or province.

I agree with the date.

yes, that name is not one i have seen in any of the town's records. i wonder if in fact it is an error, and it is d'Antuono, as that name is not only in ariano, there are other purcaro - d'antuono marriages.

another mystery....

The letter after the D' is not written the same as the A in Alberto, so I don't know what to tell you. Possibly it was an error on the part of the clerk who added the notation in the margin, or maybe Alberto was from some other region or town.
