Birth record translation g-grandmother Maria Teresa Pinto

Postby misschristi16 » 13 Feb 2014, 20:00

I am requesting a translation of a birth record for my great grandmother of Rapone Italy. Her name is Maria Teresa Pinto, last one on the right.

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... 1509633512

Thank you so much!
Also, I have a question--this may sound stupid, but, my g-grandfather's mother's name was margherita pinto, yet, my g-grandmothers name was (maria Theresa Pinto (her father being Pietro Pinto). if my g-grandfather married a Pinto, yet his mother was a Pinto--were they related or what? Sounds like a riddle. :-)

Dated Aug 16, 1872
Birth of Maria Teresa Pinto was at 2 a.m. today in the house on Strada San Pietro. Father, Pietro Pinto, the son of Francesco Pinto, was age 30, and a miller. Mother was Maria De Paolo, daughter of Domenico De Paolo.

As to your question-my one set of great grandparents had the same surname and I discovered that their grandfathers were brothers and that they had the same set of great grandparents. So your Pintos may have been related on some generation level, but without going further back in time, it is difficult to say. My husband also has two lines of his surname running through his ancestry, and there is a similar situation with the two lines originating from the same couple, but many generations back in time.

I believe the mother's surname is De Paola.

Oops, I thought that was what I had typed. Thanks for catching the error, Livio.
