Nicola di Paola morti record translation help

Postby misschristi16 » 04 Mar 2014, 22:01

Here is a death record of Nicola Di Paola
Son of Domenico Di Paola and Elisabetta Savone
Died 15th? of May? 1897
Please tell me if I have it right? Any other pertinent information would be greatly appreciated. Like, how old he was? Profession? Married and to whom? (tell me, about where do you find the spouse name on the record?) (Is Nicola married to Maria Teresa Repole?) I think I can see it now, if I am right. :D

Thank you so much!

The record is dated on the 15th but of the month of March -marzo

The death rook place on the 14th-go to the 10th line down where it says "di ieri" -day yesterday.

also important is where it says "nella casa posta in via Santa Sofia al numero cinquantuno"-he died-in the house located at #51 via Santa Sofia.

both parents are deceased-he was a contadino (peasant/farmer) of Domenico-it says "domiciliato in Rapone in vita"-meaning that Domenico, his father, lived in Rapone when he was alive. His mother Elisabetta Savone is also deceased-"in vita in detto comune"(in life in this town)

17th line down-marito di Repole Maria Teresa-husband of Maria Teresa Repole

He was also anni cinquantuno-age 51 at death

Hope this helps.

Does it happen to say how old he was at death? Where about would that be on the record? And, thank you! I can understand the records better when they are on the nice form, but when they are all handwritten, I get lost, to say the least. I am learning but still appreciate all your help!

his age is the 12th line down in the record-over to the right

Just keep practicing in trying to decipher the records.
