Birth Translation Help

Postby JOHN08 » 14 Mar 2014, 08:04

This is the best that I can do with this birth record for Antonio Terranova:

On the 13th of March 1873, appeared Giuseppe Terranova, age: 50, contadino, son of deceased Giuseppe, living in Acri.

The mother is Mariangela Vigiataro ?, age: 36, who gave birth on the 11th of March 1873.

Corrections/additions are appreciated.

John

Tessa and Livio,

Thanks for your help with this translation. The hand-written records are difficult for me to translate.

This birth record has two pages; however, the photo of the second page was not clear at all (guess I moved when I took the photo). I will have go back to Family History Center and take a clear photo, this time, of the second page. I am interested to see what is noted on this page. Maybe, it notes the death of the second twin.

Appreciate your help!

Hi John,

Glad to help. I will also be interested in the second page of this record. It appears that Antonio was the first of the twins to be born. Most likely the birth of the other (it should indicate if born without life) should follow this record.
