Help with one word on death record

Postby jkingb » 23 Mar 2014, 20:56

Can anybody confirm the relationship between the deceased (Francisco) and the second declarant (Giacomo) on the following record - is it cousin? I hesitate because I don't see an "s". Thank you!

First record, right-hand side:

I am reading that the two informants are "le premier fils e le second cousin"- (the first informant is the son of the deceased and the second informant is a cousin of the deceased). It looks to me like the S in cousin is written as a tall letter
