Birth Record Help

Postby tomtst » 20 Apr 2014, 13:41

Attached is the birth record for Nicola Sullo, which appears to have a marriage notation written along the side. I also have birth records for children of Nicola Sullo and Teresa Ambrosino. I'm trying to determine if Nicola's birth record is the person that later married Teresa Ambrosino. I think I see the name Ambrosino in the record but I'm not sure.

Hello Tom!

This is just too small to read, and when trying to enlarge becomes distorted.
Can you give us a better image? Or one that will enlarge.
I seem to see a date of 22 August 1866... but I can not be sure.
Can not read the names at all :-(

If you have the image saved, try uploading to postimage.org and choose the URL for Forums1
to copy and paste. That may help...

I did some editing, it's a little better. The microfilm record is not very good in this case.

I may be able to find the actual marriage record, hopefully the 1866 records will have it.

Thank you for trying to make it more readable...

Part of the top of the notation is missing, and it is still difficult to read, but here is what it looks like to me...

"... with Petronilla Mxxxxo born in Montemanaro in 1834 and celebrated in this Comune on 22 April 1866"
[signed] Avellino 26 July 1866
official's signature

Maybe someone else will also take a look :-)

Thanks T, with the 1866 date I will look for the actual marriage record. I took two pictures of the birth record and that is the best I could get.
