Dated Nov 30, 1896 at 9:30 a.m. Frigento.
Appearing was Carolina Calo', age 60, midwife, who reported that on the 29th at noon, in the house at #5 Contrada Confine, Maria Giuseppa Martone gave birth to a male infant, whom the midwife was presenting and to whom was being given the name Franceso. Maria Giuseppa was the wife of Pasquale Ciampi, and they were both peasant/farmers in the town. Witnesses were Rocco Flammia, age 30, shoemaker, and Carlo Testa, age 31, property owner.
The midwife made the declaration and presentation in place of Martone's husband, as he had emigrated to the Americas.
