records 107.a and .b are the child in question.
record 108 is his twin sister, just in case.....

the family story is antonio was stillborn. i cannot locate his death record between 1895 and 1899 (when the microfilmed records for Altavilla end). his mother, my ggm died in 1898. and shortly thereafter my ggf immigrated with my gf to boston.

i am wondering if there is something on the birth record that i have misread that states he was stillborn.

thanks for taking a look.

Donna
I don't see anything in the record which indicates the first born twin was stillborn. The record states that the midwife didn't present the infant, but that she asserted the veracity of the birth and that he was the first of the two twins born. The second infant wasn't presented either, but it states that she asserted the veracity of that birth as well, and that he was the second of the twins born. I don't see anything in either record which indicates why the infants weren't presented at the town hall.

Donna,
Sorry that neither document gives any clue as to why the infants weren't presented at the town hall or anything about the first twin being stillborn or dying soon after birth.
