occupation on marriage act

any thoughts on the occupation of groom and his father....carrataio? also, what is the other word with father's occupation..

Hi Donna

Basically I see what you see but I am wondering whether the word is suppose to be spelt "Carretaio" which is a Carter/Cart Driver. (Caradore is also a Cart Driver/Carter so my thinking is that the word probably is mis-spelt? Just a suggestion.)

I don't know what the other word which precedes the father's occupation might be at this stage. With the bleed through it's not the easiest read is it?

sounds good to me.

maybe you can take a crack at my post from july 23 on another occupation...marcello was able to spell it out....neither of us know what it means!

Sure, will take a look later, although if someone as experienced as Marcello was unsure I would be very surprised if I could work it out. I do recall the occupation and saw the same letters as Marcello. I will look again later though - I can never resist a challenge :wink:
