Birth Record #116 Rosa de Avino

Recorded 8 October 1876, 9.05 a.m. Frigento

Appearing was Baldassarre de Avino, 29, farmer, living in Frigento to report that at 8.15 p.m. on 6 of the current month, at #1 Contrada Cartiglio, Giacomina Capobianco, his wife, farmer, gave birth to a female baby and given the name Rosa.

Witnesses:
Giuseppe D'Avino, 23, farmer
Gaetano Pugliese, 63, farmer

Hi Dolores

Re the surname, I've seen it as D'Avino, Di Avino and in this record I see de Avino so that is what I have typed. I have this with some of my surnames too. You will know what it is.

Angela :)

Always happy to help :D

Re the surnames, there was a discussion about this recently here on IG and unfortunately I can't find it now, nor can I exactly remember what it said. I have to go out shortly but if I find it later I will copy it here. (My surnames seemed to begin with Di in the earlier records and then in the later records they began with De - so maybe someone omitted to dot the "i" somewhere along the line - not sure? Of course I would love to be sure, :? but just have to leave it for now.)

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Angela :)
