Noi Francesco Gandolfo
secondo eletto funzionante da Sindaco ed Uffi-
ciale dello Stato Civile del Comune di Termini no-
tifichiamo a tutti che Costantino Simone Ca-
tanzano, libero, di anni ventisette di professione
marinajo domiciliato in questo Comune fi-
glio di Giuseppe di professione marinajo domi-
ciliato in Termini e di fu Giuseppa Orso(?) e Vin
cenza
Lodato, nubile, di anni ventiquattro do-
miciliata in Termini figlia di ... Antonino
di professione falegname domiciliato
in Termini e di ... Catalano domi-
ciliata ivi.

Il terzo è latino.

Noi Dominus Stefano Papania

Thank you for the help

Scott, Lucap has done a fantastic job of translating these both into Italian for you. If you copy and paste to Google translate you should be able to see what it says. If not, come back to the forum. I'm busy today and need to go out shortly so don't have the time at the minute. (The third one was in Latin like I suggested to you and he has translated to Italian.)

Good luck.
Angela

Hi Scott

I've just typed up a précis of what I understand of the two documents that Lucap translated for you. Hopefully it will make it clearer for you. I understand what you mean about Google Translate.

The first document:
No 11
Marriage Bann, December 1832, Termini Imerese
Costantino Simone Catanzaro, free i.e. single, aged 27, sailor, living in this town,
son of Giuseppe, sailor, living in Termini and son of deceased Giuseppa Corso.

Vincenza Lodato, unmarried, aged 24, living in Termini, daughter of ? Antonino,
carpenter/joiner, living in Termini and daughter of Giufania? Catalano living in Termini.

The Latin document is basically a Baptismal Certificate/Record that was issued 22 December 1832 confirming that on 13 July 1805, the infant born to Giuseppe Catanzaro and Giuseppa Corso, married couple, of Termini, was baptised and given the name Constantino Simone. The Godfather was Mariano Botta, son of deceased Giuseppe, resident of Termini. The officiating Priest was Don Onofrio Cirasi.
